To get a better feel of our organization, this is what our fraternity achieved in the Spring 2010 semester.

Professional Activities

Delta Sigma Pi is an organization focused on professional development for students in business. It acts as an intermediary between the college student and their professional goals and dreams. We provide many of the resources needed to be successful in the business world including career showcase preparations, etiquette dinners, and mixers. Through the organization, you can gain valuable skills through leadership experience and learn from senior members in our advisory council. We focus on networking with recruiters and alumni to expose those in our organizations to the business world. Our recent graduates have taken positions among the top companies in business such as, General Electric, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Credit Suisse, SunTrust, Ernst and Young, Deliotte and Touche, Target and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

-Inely Diaz, VP Professional Activities of Spring 2010

Professional Trips

The Beta Eta Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi will be traveling to the Washington DC metropolitan area for the spring 2010 pro-trip. The pro-trip committee is working diligently to create an experience for the brotherhood that will allow each of the brothers to grow professionally. We will be visiting esteem companies and learning about their organization, corporate culture, and internship opportunities. Washington DC is a beautiful city and the brotherhood will have the opportunity to visit all of its historical sites including The White House. The goal of this trip is to provide the brotherhood an opportunity to visit a new city and create memories with their brothers that will be ever lasting.

Stefani Giannakaris, VP Pro-Trip of Spring 2010

Community Service

As one of the pillars that make up the foundation of Delta Sigma Pi, Beta Eta takes community service seriously and takes pride in our many charitable and philanthropic efforts. In the past, we have been involved with organizations and events such as Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, The Boys and Girls Club, Campus Kitchens, Gator Plunge, Day of Difference, St. Francis House, Arbor House, beach clean-ups and various food and item drives. On a semester basis, our chapter has consistently donated roughly $1,500 to various charities on top of the hours of service we have provided. In addition to continuing many of the endeavors listed above, we will be adding the Humane Society of Alachua County and other local animal rescues, as well as Disney’s Give a Day Get a Day program to our list of involvements in the Spring.

-Michael Treiser, VP Community Service of Spring 2010

Social Activities

The goal of Social Activities is to hold fun events that appeal to everyone, in order to get everybody involved socially and encourage lifelong friendships between brothers! With events like Bowling night, paintball, Tubing in Ginnie Springs, holiday celebrations, etc, we have a ton of fun every time, and always have great memories to look back on. Everyone should be involved in social activities, because all professionalism and no play makes DSP a dull fraternity!

-Jonathan Tanenbaum, VP Social Activities of Spring 2010
